Ahmedabad Police seize methamphetamine worth Rs 14.16 crore; Nigerian national among two nabbed

Ahmedabad: Naroda Police have nabbed two persons, including a Nigerian national, and seized methamphetamine valued at approximately Rs 14.16 crore during an operation in Ahmedabad.
It is learnt that over 7 kg of the contraband was recovered from the possession of the accused near Nana Chiloda GETCO Power Station during the raid. One of the accused has been identified as Mohammad Sajid, a 48-year-old resident of Mumbai, while the identity of the foreign national has not been disclosed.
A case has been registered against the duo under the relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the narcotics, identify other individuals involved in the supply chain, and determine whether the accused are linked to a larger drug trafficking network.
