Ahmedabad Hottest in Gujarat at 41.3°C as Heat Persists Across State

Ahmedabad: Heat conditions persisted across several parts of Gujarat on Friday, with Ahmedabad emerging as the hottest city in the state after recording a maximum temperature of 41.3 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Ahmedabad’s maximum temperature was 0.4 degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature settled at 29.6 degrees Celsius, 1.5 degrees above normal.
Among other major cities, Gandhinagar recorded a maximum temperature of 40.7 degrees Celsius, followed by Rajkot at 40.6 degrees Celsius, Surendranagar at 40.4 degrees Celsius and Amreli at 40.1 degrees Celsius. Kandla registered 39.5 degrees Celsius, while Vadodara and Deesa recorded 39.4 degrees Celsius and 39.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Coastal regions remained relatively cooler due to maritime influence. Dwarka recorded a maximum temperature of 33.8 degrees Celsius, followed by Veraval at 34.6 degrees Celsius, Okha at 34.9 degrees Celsius and Porbandar at 35.1 degrees Celsius.
Bhuj registered a maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius, while Bhavnagar recorded 39 degrees Celsius. Surat and Daman (UT) both reported a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius.
Humidity levels remained high in coastal areas, with Okha recording 84 per cent relative humidity at 8:30 am, followed by Dwarka and Veraval at 80 per cent each.
The weather department indicated that temperatures across most parts of the state remained near normal to slightly above normal, with inland districts continuing to experience hot daytime conditions. DeshGujarat
