AMC Seals Four Illegal PG Accommodations in Satellite Area

Ahmedabad: The city civic body on Tuesday sealed four paying guest (PG) accommodations running illegally near Ramdev Nagar Crossroads in the Satellite area.
The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) in a note stated that the Estate & Urban Development Department of the South West Zone had received complaints regarding PG facilities being run from house numbers 12, 16, 17, and 18 of Jodhpur Kunj Society in Jodhpur Ward. After that, the civic body issued notices under the provisions of the Gujarat Provincial Municipal Corporations (GPMC) Act, directing the owners to shut down the unauthorised PG operations.
However, even after three notices, the property owners did not discontinue the PG operation. As a result, AMC officials carried out an enforcement drive on June 9, vacated the premises, and sealed all four units to prevent further use as PG accommodations. DeshGujarat
