GSRTC Expands Ahmedabad–Vadodara AC Volvo Bus Service to 10 Daily Trips

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has expanded its Volvo bus network across the state by increasing services on key routes and introducing new long-distance connections.

Volvo bus service has been increased to 10 daily trips between Ahmedabad (Nehrunagar) and Vadodara. A new Volvo bus service from Ahmedabad to Somnath has also been started via Bhavnagar, Mahuva, and Kodinar. The bus will depart from Gita Mandir at 7:30 am. Additionally, a Volvo bus service from Deesa to Surat has been introduced to make travel to Surat easier for people from North Gujarat.

Volvo buses are also being operated to various religious destinations by GSRTC to provide premium services to passengers. These buses currently run from Ahmedabad to Somnath, Dwarka, Tulsishyam, Ambaji, and Nathdwara.

GSRTC started the Deesa–Surat AC Volvo service on May 22. This route connects Deesa, Palanpur, Siddhpur Bypass, Unjha, Mehsana, Modhera, Ranip, Ahmedabad, CTM, Vadodara, Ankleshwar GIDC, and Surat. The bus is equipped with 47 seats, pushback seats, mobile charging points, an LED screen, CCTV, and fire safety facilities. The bus departs from Deesa at 12:30 pm and from Surat at 6:00 am.

For passengers from Saurashtra, GSRTC has started two new AC Volvo buses on the Rajkot–Vadodara route. This decision has been taken in view of the increasing travel demand.

An Ahmedabad–Surat non-stop Volvo service has also been launched. Under this service, GSRTC has started a new non-stop AC Volvo bus between Nehrunagar in Ahmedabad and Surat via the Vadodara–Surat section of the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway. This service has reduced travel time and has provided passengers with faster connectivity.

GSRTC has allotted 13 new premium buses to its Rajkot division. In addition, preparations are underway to launch new AC services on the Statue of Unity, Jamnagar, Morbi, and Dahod routes. DeshGujarat
