Traffic Curbs on IFFCO Railway Overbridge on Ahmedabad – Mehsana Highway
June 16, 2026
Mehsana: Work on the IFFCO railway overbridge on the Ahmedabad-Mehsana Highway, including the replacement of expansion joints, is currently underway. As a result, the overbridge will remain closed to vehicular traffic for 24 hours on June 17.
Vehicles travelling from Mehsana towards Ahmedabad will be diverted from IFFCO Char Rasta via the Saij Underbridge to Saij Gurukul Chowkdi. During this period, the service road and the main highway road will operate as one-way routes.
To ensure that the repair work on the overbridge near IFFCO is completed within the stipulated timeframe and to the required quality standards, Additional District Magistrate Vipul Thakkar has issued a notification restricting vehicular movement on the bridge.
The notification will remain in force for 24 hours on June 17. Any person found violating the order will be liable for action under Section 135(3) of the relevant Act and Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. DeshGujarat
