Rapido Service Begins at Rajkot Railway Station
June 20, 2026
Rajkot: Taking a significant step towards providing safe, convenient and affordable transport for passengers travelling from the railway station to their destinations, a Rapido counter facility has been introduced in the circulating area of Rajkot Railway Station. Through this new arrangement, passengers will be able to book bikes, auto-rickshaws and cabs directly from the station premises, a press release said.
The facility is aimed at providing quick and hassle-free transportation to passengers immediately after they disembark from trains. Staff stationed at the Rapido counters will assist passengers with ride bookings, making their onward journey smoother and more comfortable.
The service is expected to be particularly beneficial for senior citizens, tourists, women, families and other travellers. Passengers will be able to choose between bikes, autos and cabs based on their requirements and convenience. The Rapido counter at Rajkot Railway Station will operate daily from 6 am to 2 pm.
The initiative is part of efforts to make public transport more modern, accessible and passenger-friendly. Railway officials said the Rapido service will offer transparent, reliable and organised transport options, helping streamline last-mile connectivity from the station and enhancing the overall travel experience for passengers.
Rajkot Division has been continuously working to improve passenger amenities. As part of these efforts, there are plans to introduce similar Rapido facilities at Dwarka, Surendranagar, Jamnagar and Morbi railway stations in the future. DeshGujarat
