Hijab Allowed, Hindu Religious Symbols Barred at NEET Centre; Parents Protest in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Police here nabbed two youths who were protesting permission to wear Hijab to Muslim students appearing for NEET exam, while Hindu students were not allowed to wear even dharmik mala.
Several Hindu parents at RJ Tibrewal college based NEET centre told media persons that while Hindu students were asked to remova wrist-bands and kanthi-mala, Muslim female students were allowed to wear Hijab in NEET exam. The parents said that the students are not allowed to carry even a hankerchief in such a heat, but Hizabs are allowed.
Another parents said that his daughter’s Kanthi was removed and earrings were tapped for NEET exam, while Muslim females were allowed to wear Hijab. What kind of equality was this? Rules should be equal for all. DeshGujarat
