Lalgarh – Sabarmati Express Train Flagged Off, Regular Daily Service Begins Today

Ahmedabad: Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Union Minister of State for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal flagged off the Lalgarh (Bikaner)–Sabarmati (Ahmedabad) Express from Bikaner Railway Station on Sunday. Regular services of the daily train will commence this evening.

The new daily express service will establish direct rail connectivity between Rajasthan and Gujarat, providing significant convenience to students, traders and tourists. With the introduction of the train, North Gujarat stations such as Patan, Bhildi and Dhanera will get direct daily express connectivity to Bikaner and Jodhpur for the first time.

The train will halt at Sabarmati, Mahesana, Patan, Bhildi, Dhanera, Raniwara, Marwar Bhinmal, Modran, Jalore, Mokalsar, Samdari, Luni, Jodhpur, Gotan, Merta Road, Nagaur, Nokha and Bikaner (Lalgarh).

For its regular run beginning today, Train No. 19407 Sabarmati–Lalgarh Express will depart from Sabarmati daily at 5:55 pm and reach Lalgarh at 8:10 am the following day.

On the return journey, Train No. 19408 Lalgarh–Sabarmati Express will depart from Lalgarh at 9:05 pm and arrive at Sabarmati at 11:30 am the next day.

Speaking on the occasion, the Railway Minister said that redevelopment work at more than 1,300 railway stations across the country is underway under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
