Ahmedabad: Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) on Monday announced that it will establish Advanced Manufacturing Labs (AMLs) at five Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Gujarat to enhance industry-oriented skill development among students.
The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Directorate of Employment and Training (DET), Government of Gujarat, to set up the facilities at ITIs in Palanpur, Bhavnagar, Surendranagar, Godhra and Dahod.
The initiative aims to provide hands-on training on modern manufacturing technologies and bridge the gap between classroom education and industry requirements.
“Through Advanced Manufacturing Labs, we are equipping students with experiential learning and confidence in modern equipment, nurturing professionals who can seamlessly integrate into the evolving automotive ecosystem,” said Rahul Bharti, Senior Executive Officer, Corporate Affairs, MSIL.
Highlighting the company’s expansion plans in Gujarat, Bharti said each new manufacturing facility creates demand for a skilled, future-ready workforce. “The Advanced Manufacturing Labs will play a pivotal role in meeting this latent need and ensuring that talent is ready to meet the industry demands,” he added.
