24-Hour Rainfall Data from Across Gujarat; Valsad District Tops Chart with Heavy Rains

Valsad: Rainy weather prevailed in various parts of the state during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am this morning. South Gujarat recorded the highest rainfall. According to the rainfall data of the State Emergency Operation Center (SEOC), Umargam in Valsad district recorded the highest rainfall of 4.33 inches.

Following Umargam, Ahwa in Dang district received 3.07 inches of rain, while Gondal in Rajkot district received 2.13 inches of rain. Kaprada in Valsad district received 1.46 inches of rain and Vapi received 1.42 inches of rain. Ukai in Tapi district received 1.10 inches of rain.

A total of 29 talukas witnessed rain in Gujarat, but only six of them recorded rainfall of more than an inch. Among the other places that received rain, Kotda Sangani in Rajkot district received 0.79 inches of rain, Sagbara in Narmada district received 0.75 inches, while Jambughoda in Panchmahal and Kwant in Chhota Udepur district received 0.51 inches of rain.

Ranpur in Botad district and Mandvi in Surat district received 0.31 inches of rain. Subir in Dang received 0.28 inches, while Valsad, Areth in Surat, Chikhli in Navsari and Mangrol in Surat received 0.24 inches of rain.
