SRFDCL Issues Safety Advisory Amid Water Release into Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: With the completion of the repair work on the gate of Vasna Barrage, the Narmada and Water Resources Department has resumed the release of water into the Sabarmati River from June 21.

According to a statement issued by the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited (SRFDCL), water is currently being released continuously into the river, due to which the water level of the Sabarmati River will gradually increase in the coming days and the river will become full of water again. The arrival of water in the river will also enhance the beauty of the riverfront area.

The administration has said that due to the ongoing process of filling the river, the water level in some areas is currently low, but it is continuously increasing. Keeping public safety in mind, citizens have been urged to avoid unnecessary movement or activities in the riverbed, low-lying areas, ghats, and places where the water level may change.

Citizens have also been requested to take necessary precautions while visiting the riverfront and follow the instructions issued by the administration. SRFDCL has appealed to citizens to cooperate during this operation. DeshGujarat
