ACB Traps Ahmedabad Cop in Bribery Case

Ahmedabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has caught unarmed ASI Shashikant Kishanbhai Jadav red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 6,000 at the Hansol police post under Airport Police Station in Ahmedabad city.

According to the ACB, a citizen had filed a complaint alleging that the ASI demanded a bribe of Rs. 6,000 for not assaulting him in connection with an application filed against him and for not harassing him by producing him before the court at an early date. Since the complainant did not want to pay the bribe, he approached the Sabarkantha ACB police station.

Based on the complaint, the ACB laid a trap. During the trap, the accused held a purposeful conversation with the complainant regarding the bribe and accepted Rs. 6,000 from him.
