Gujarat Continues to Swelter, Ahmedabad Records Highest Temperature at 40.5°C

Ahmedabad: Even with the arrival of the monsoon, the sizzling heat is not dying down in parts of Gujarat. According to the Meteorological Department’s report at 8:30 am on Friday, the highest maximum temperature in the state on Thursday (June 25) was recorded in Ahmedabad at 40.5 degrees Celsius, which is 3.7 degrees above normal.
After Ahmedabad, Rajkot recorded 40.0 degrees (4.0 degrees above normal), Gandhinagar 39.8 degrees, Surendranagar 39.3 degrees, Vadodara 38.8 degrees, Deesa 38.6 degrees, while Amreli and Kandla recorded a maximum temperature of 38.5 degrees.
The temperature in the coastal areas remained comparatively low. Dwarka recorded 33.6 degrees, Diu and Daman 34.8 degrees, Veraval 34.6 degrees, Surat 35.2 degrees, and Okha and Porbandar recorded 35.4 degrees.
Talking about the minimum temperature, Vadodara recorded the highest night temperature at 30.4 degrees, while Ahmedabad recorded a minimum temperature of 29.3 degrees.
According to the Meteorological Department report, most parts of the state did not receive any rain during the last 24 hours. People were troubled by heat and humidity as the maximum temperature in many cities of the state was 2 to 4 degrees higher than normal. DeshGujarat
