Which Places in Gujarat Might Get Rain in Next 7 Days? Here’s IMD Forecast

Ahmedabad: Despite the slow pace of the monsoon in Gujarat, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are predicted in various parts of the state over the next week. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD)’s afternoon bulletin on June 26, conditions are becoming favourable for the advance of the southwest monsoon into the remaining parts of the state during the next three to four days.
According to the IMD, an upper air cyclonic circulation is active at a height of 3.1 to 5.8 km above mean sea level over North Gujarat and Saurashtra. In addition, southwesterly to westerly winds are blowing at lower levels, creating favourable conditions for the further advance of the monsoon.
According to the forecast valid till the morning of June 27, light to moderate rain or thundershowers may occur in some districts of North Gujarat, including Banaskantha, Vav-Tharad, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Dahod, and Mahisagar. There is also a possibility of rain in South Gujarat’s Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, and Valsad, as well as Daman and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. Rain has also been predicted at isolated places in Surendranagar, Rajkot, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Morbi, Gir Somnath, Botad, and Kutch.
On June 27 and 28, light to moderate rain is likely in Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. Similar weather is also expected at isolated places in the Saurashtra districts of Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Gir Somnath, as well as in Diu.
Rainfall activity is likely in the Saurashtra districts of Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Gir Somnath, as well as in Diu, and at isolated places across all districts of South Gujarat, including Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, and Valsad, along with Daman and Dadra & Nagar Haveli, on June 29 and 30. Dry weather is very likely in the remaining districts of the state.
Meanwhile, on July 1 and 2, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely at isolated places in the North Gujarat districts of Panchmahal, Dahod, and Mahisagar; across all districts of South Gujarat, including Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, and Valsad, as well as Daman and Dadra & Nagar Haveli; and at isolated places in the Saurashtra districts of Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Gir Somnath, along with Diu. Dry weather is very likely in the remaining districts of the state.
The Meteorological Department has not issued any heavy rain, thunderstorm, or any other weather warning for the next seven days. Generally cloudy weather has been forecast for Ahmedabad during the next 24 hours, with the maximum temperature expected to be around 41 degrees Celsius. DeshGujarat
