Amazon India brings the 10th edition of Prime Day to Gujarat

Ahmedabad: Amazon’s Prime Day will go live from July 4. To mark the 10th edition of Prime Day in India, Amazon is offering a limited-period Anniversary offer to new members. Amazon Now is also available across select pincodes in Ahmedabad.

Amazon Now is already available to over 50 million customers in more than 15 metro and non-metro cities, including Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Amritsar, and Kochi. Amazon plans to scale up its network of micro fulfilment centres and urban fulfilment centres to house an expanded selection of daily essentials, ranging from groceries (including fruits, vegetables, and frozen food) and personal care products to fashion, beauty, small appliances, home and kitchen products, and more, all delivered within minutes.

Zeba Khan, Director, Consumer Electronics, Amazon India, said, “Ahead of the 10th edition of Prime Day, we are seeing strong momentum across Gujarat, with cities such as Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot and Jamnagar driving growth. Customers are increasingly upgrading to premium and AI-powered products — premium large appliances have nearly doubled and AI-enabled laptops and tablets are the fastest growing segment this season. From premium smartphones and smart wearables to larger-screen televisions and AI-enabled appliances, customers are seeking technology that enhances productivity, convenience and everyday experiences. Through innovations such as the AI Store, Smartchoice and AI-powered shopping tools like Rufus, Lens AI and more, we are helping customers discover the right products faster and enabling customers to make more confident purchase decisions.”

Tier-2 and tier-3 cities drive Gujarat’s next wave of growth

Beyond Ahmedabad, cities including Surendranagar, Amreli, Jamnagar, Navsari, Bharuch and Surat are emerging as the fastest growing cities on Amazon.in. The large appliances category grew over 60% year-on-year across Gujarat, with several cities registering triple-digit growth. Air conditioners remain a key growth driver, alongside rising adoption of premium refrigerators, washing machines and AI-enabled appliances, reflecting a clear shift toward modern, connected homes beyond the state capital, the company said.

The company further said that the customers across Gujarat are increasingly embracing premium technology. The premium smartphone segment continues to gain strong momentum in Ahmedabad, while AI-enabled laptops and tablets doubled year-on-year, reflecting rising demand for smarter and more personalised computing experiences. Customers are no longer just upgrading devices — they are upgrading to AI-native workflows. DeshGujarat
