Amazon to Launch Its Quick-Commerce Service in Ahmedabad on July 4

Ahmedabad: Amazon’s quick-commerce service, Amazon Now, will be launched in Ahmedabad on July 4, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of Prime Day. To mark the occasion, the e-commerce giant has announced discounts of up to 80% on a wide range of consumer electronics, including smartphones, laptops, smart TVs, wearables, and AI-powered home appliances.

According to the company, Gujarat has become one of Amazon India’s fastest-growing markets, with nearly 65% of orders coming from Tier II and Tier III cities.

Amazon Now is already available to over 50 million customers in more than 15 metro and non-metro cities, including Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Amritsar, and Kochi. Amazon plans to scale up its network of micro fulfilment centres and urban fulfilment centres to house an expanded selection of daily essentials, ranging from groceries (including fruits, vegetables, and frozen food) and personal care products to fashion, beauty, small appliances, home and kitchen products, and more, all delivered within minutes.

Zeba Khan, Director of Consumer Electronics at Amazon India, said that ahead of the 10th edition of Prime Day, the company is witnessing strong demand from Gujarat. She noted that cities such as Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, and Jamnagar are driving growth, with customers increasingly opting for premium smartphones, smart wearables, large-screen televisions, and AI-enabled appliances.
