Ahmedabad: The Gujarat government on Friday issued orders appointing 18 officers promoted to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) to officiate in their existing positions following their elevation to the IAS.

The appointments were made through notifications issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) after the Government of India notified their promotion to the IAS on June 25, 2026.

The appointments have been made in situ, meaning the officers will continue to serve in their current assignments while holding IAS rank.
