Surat: Security agencies have launched an immediate investigation following an alarming incident in which a laser beam was aimed at an IndiGo flight while it was making its landing approach at Surat Airport.
Pointing laser beams at descending aircraft is considered a severe aviation hazard as it can temporarily blind or distract pilots during the most critical phase of a flight. Following the incident, a comprehensive probe is currently underway to identify the culprits responsible for the act.
The security breach has prompted swift coordination among key officials, with the Airport Authority and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) stepping in to handle the investigation and pursue the matter under the relevant legal sections.
