ACB Gujarat Nabs Deputy Mamlatdar in Bribery Case

Tapi: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today conducted a trap operation at Dolwan Taluka Seva Sadan and caught a Deputy Mamlatdar red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹25,000.
The arrested accused, Parteshkumar Narayanbhai Katara (age 36), was posted as Deputy Mamlatdar (Class-3) in charge of the Disaster Department and Revenue Department at the Dolwan Mamlatdar office.
According to the ACB, the complainant had obtained the written consent of the seller to purchase agricultural land in Block No. 38 in Kamalapore village of Dolwan taluka through a sale deed. After that, he applied to the Mamlatdar office along with the necessary documents to make an entry for transferring the land from jirayat to horticulture.
The accused Deputy Mamlatdar had demanded a bribe of ₹25,000 from the complainant for completing this procedure. Since the complainant did not want to pay the bribe, he approached the ACB and filed a complaint.
Based on the complaint, the ACB arranged a bribe trap, during which the accused accepted a bribe of ₹25,000 from the complainant. After that, the ACB team caught him red-handed at the spot. The entire bribe amount of ₹25,000 was also seized from the accused. DeshGujarat
