IMD issues Flash Flood Risk Alert for these parts of Gujarat till July 3

Vadodara: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather agency of the Government of India, has issued a low to moderate flash flood risk warning for parts of Gujarat and adjoining regions for the next 24 hours, valid till 5:30 pm (1730 IST) on Friday, July 3, 2026.
According to the IMD bulletin issued by its Hydromet Division’s Flash Flood Guidance Cell, a low to moderate flash flood risk is likely over a few watersheds and neighbourhoods in the following areas during the next 24 hours:
Gujarat Region: Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman, Navsari and Valsad districts.
Saurashtra & Kutch: Amreli, Bhavnagar, Diu, Gir Somnath, Jamnagar, Junagadh and Surendranagar districts.
Madhya Maharashtra: Nandurbar and Nasik districts.
The IMD has warned that surface runoff and inundation may occur in fully saturated soils and low-lying areas identified as Areas of Concern (AoC) due to the expected rainfall over the next 24 hours. DeshGujarat
