Western Railway to Temporarily Shut 3 Underpasses on Mehsana – Taranga Hill Route Amid Monsoon

Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Division of Western Railway today announced that three railway underpasses (RUBs) on the Mehsana-Taranga Hill rail section will remain temporarily shut during the monsoon season to ensure the safety of passengers and the public and to facilitate safe and smooth train operations.
According to the Railway Administration, the underpasses will remain closed from July 10 to September 30, 2026, during periods of heavy rainfall.
The underpasses to be closed are:
- RUB No. 41A near Vadnagar City (Kesimpa Farms Road Extension)
- RUB No. 16D near Visnagar City (Sherdinagar to Kansa Extension)
- RUB No. 22A at Mastan Nagar Society, Vadnagar Gate
The Railway Administration has appealed to citizens to follow the safety advisories issued by the Ahmedabad Division and avoid using these railway underpasses during heavy rainfall.
