₹175-Crore Six-Lane Bhat Circle Cable-Stayed Bridge to Open on Sunday

Gandhinagar: Gujarat’s first six-lane urban cable-stayed bridge will be inaugurated on Sunday, with Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel set to dedicate the project to the public at 10 a.m. at Bhat Circle in Gandhinagar.

The newly constructed Cable-Stayed Bridge over Bhat Circle on the Gandhinagar-Koba Aerodrome Road has been built at a cost of ₹175 crore.

During the event, the Chief Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the widening of the bridge over the Narmada Main Canal on the Gandhinagar-Koba Aerodrome Road from six lanes to 12 lanes.

The new bridge is expected to provide significant relief to traffic between Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad by easing congestion at the busy Bhat Circle junction. It is also expected to benefit thousands of daily commuters travelling between Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Koba, Infocity, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, and North Gujarat by improving connectivity and reducing travel time.
