Delhi – Mumbai Expressway Closure Without Prior Notice Near Ankleshwar Triggers Traffic Jam
July 04, 2026
Ankleshwar: The gross negligence and irresponsible attitude of the administration has come to light on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway passing near Ankleshwar. There was great anger among motorists as the highway was closed without any prior information or public notice by the electricity department for work on high-tension power lines.
This incident took place near Piludara village in Ankleshwar, where the road was suddenly blocked for work on a high-tension line. This led to a huge traffic jam as hundreds of motorists were stuck on the expressway without any prior notice. Passengers could neither move forward nor turn back. The most serious thing was that an ambulance on an emergency call also got stuck in the traffic. People were outraged that if the road had to be closed, why was no notice given before entering the highway?
Motorists using the expressway for fast travel were left frustrated as they were stuck for hours. Scenes of heated arguments between drivers and the contractors are now going around on local media. People heavily criticized this system of work, calling it a “show of intelligence.”
As per Google Maps, the traffic also seems to be congested, as it shows a yellow stretch near Piludara village. Passengers are advised to check the situation before travelling on this highway so that they do not have to face any kind of trouble. DeshGujarat
