Railway Minister Reviews Progress of Under-Construction Ahmedabad Bullet Train Station

Ahmedabad: Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday visited the under-construction Ahmedabad Bullet Train Station on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor, where he reviewed the progress of the project and interacted with the engineers and construction teams working on the ambitious venture.
During the visit, Vaishnaw inspected the construction of the station building and related infrastructure. He said some of the corridor’s most complex engineering works are being carried out in the Ahmedabad section, including the construction of several crossings over existing railway lines and flyovers. He also reviewed the progress of the multi-storey station building and approach infrastructure, and directed officials to maintain the pace of construction to ensure the project is completed within the stipulated timeframe.

The Union Minister met the engineers and construction teams at the site and learnt about their work, experience, expertise and technical know-how. He appreciated their dedication, commitment and efforts, and commended the teams for the steady progress of the project. He also encouraged them to continue maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and engineering excellence.
Vaishnaw said the Ahmedabad Bullet Train Station is being developed as a fully integrated multimodal transport hub that will seamlessly connect the Bullet Train Station with the conventional railway station, the metro and city bus services. He added that the station’s design is inspired by Ahmedabad’s cultural identity and the iconic kite, blending the city’s heritage with world-class infrastructure. — DeshGujarat
