Western Railway commissions 24×7 Integrated Control Centre in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Western Railway’s Ahmedabad Division has commissioned a modern integrated control centre that will function as a round-the-clock command and control hub for railway operations across North Gujarat.

Built over an area of nearly 24,500 sq ft, the facility houses the Railway Protection Force (RPF) control room, a disaster management cell, and carriage and wagon coordination units. Railway officials said the centre will oversee the daily movement of more than 130 passenger trains and over 160 freight trains.

The integrated control centre has also been connected to Rail Madad and the National Train Enquiry System (NTES), enabling faster resolution of passenger complaints and providing real-time train information.

The facility was inaugurated by Divisional Railway Manager Ved Prakash. DeshGujarat
