Weather Woes in Delhi, Mumbai Delay Flights at Ahmedabad Airport

Ahmedabad: Flight operations at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport in the city were disrupted once again on Wednesday as heavy rain in Delhi and Mumbai triggered delays and cancellations. Several arrivals and departures were affected, while one flight to Mumbai was cancelled.

It is learnt that flights between Ahmedabad and Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata were delayed due to the cascading impact of bad weather at the destination airports. Multiple flights operated behind schedule, and several incoming flights from these cities also arrived late.

In view of the disruptions, airlines urged passengers to check their flight status before heading to the airport.

Akasa Air said heavy rain in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune and Goa had impacted its network. Air India cautioned that adverse weather could affect flights to and from Delhi, while IndiGo said poor weather in Delhi and heavy rain in Mumbai had disrupted its schedules. The airline also advised passengers travelling to Mumbai Airport to leave early because of slow-moving traffic caused by the rain.

Passengers travelling through Ahmedabad Airport were advised to keep track of their flight status, as delays may continue depending on weather conditions in the affected cities. DeshGujarat
