ACB Gujarat Nabs Another Cop in Bribery Case

Mehsana: Unarmed Police Constable Amin Hussain Manzoor Hussain Shaikh, posted at Kadi Police Station in Mehsana district, was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat Police for accepting a bribe of ₹80,000.
According to the ACB, a case was registered against the complainant and his brothers at Langhnaj Police Station. It is alleged that Constable Amin Shaikh initially demanded a bribe of ₹2 lakh in exchange for settling the case. After negotiations, he reduced the bribe amount to ₹80,000.
The complainant was unwilling to pay the bribe and approached the Gandhinagar ACB to lodge a complaint. Based on the complaint, the ACB laid a trap. During the operation, the accused constable accepted ₹80,000 as a bribe from the complainant, following which the ACB team caught him red-handed and recovered the entire amount.
Further legal action has been initiated against the accused under the Prevention of Corruption Act. DeshGujarat
