Centre Aims to Enable Airbus Landings, Cargo Flight Operations at Keshod Airport by 2027: Minister

Junagadh: Porbandar MP and Union Minister for Labour and Employment, as well as Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, today chaired a review meeting on development works underway in Junagadh district. Officials from various departments were present at the meeting.

During the meeting, he stated that the government’s objective is to commence Airbus and cargo flight operations at Keshod Airport by 2027. He urged the concerned departmental officials to further accelerate the pace of work to achieve this target within the stipulated timeline.

The Union Minister conducted a detailed review of the various development works underway in the district and obtained progress reports from the concerned officials. He provided necessary guidance and directions to ensure that all development works are executed with quality and transparency and are completed within the stipulated timeframe.

He also sought detailed information regarding the damage caused by the recent heavy monsoon rains in the Junagadh region. Keeping potential natural disasters in view, he instructed all concerned departments, including the Disaster Management department, to remain continuously alert and fully prepared to undertake necessary rescue and relief operations. Additionally, he instructed officials to ensure effective planning and prompt action so that farmers and the general public face the least possible inconvenience.
