Pest Found in Pav at Ahmedabad Restaurant; AMC Imposes Rs. 25,000 Fine

Ahmedabad: In yet another case of unhygienic food being served at a restaurant, a customer who visited Muralidhar Bhajipau restaurant in the city’s Ghodasar area has alleged that he found a pest in the pav served to him.
The customer recorded a video of the incident and shared it on social media, following which the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) Food Department inspected the restaurant and imposed a fine of Rs. 25,000.

In the viral video, the customer claims that he had ordered papad and two plates of bhajipau. After eating half of the pav, he noticed a pest in it. The customer also alleged that he did not receive a proper response when he brought the matter to the attention of the restaurant manager. According to him, the manager responded by saying, “Do whatever you want to do.”
Following the incident, the customer filed a complaint with the AMC Food Department. Based on the complaint, a team from the department inspected the restaurant and imposed a fine of Rs. 25,000 for violating food safety norms. DeshGujarat
