GRD Cop Caught Accepting Bribe for Issuing Chalchalgat certificate

Una: A Gram Rakshak Dal (GRD) personnel posted at Una Police Station in Gir Somnath district was caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 500 on Thursday.
The accused, identified as Sanjaybhai Karshanbhai Makwana, had allegedly demanded Rs 500 to Rs 1,000 from the complainant’s friend for providing a chal chalgat (Character or Conduct Certificate) certificate. Acting on a complaint by an alert citizen, the ACB laid a trap on July 16, 2026.
Makwana was allegedly caught red-handed accepting Rs 500 in the crime writer’s room of Una Police Station. The tainted currency notes were recovered, and further investigation is underway. DeshGujarat
