Railway Board Approves Route Change for Seven Bhuj Trains
July 16, 2026
Bhuj: In a major development for Kutch rail passengers, the Railway Board has approved rerouting seven key trains to and from Bhuj to avoid rake reversal at Gandhidham.
Under the new arrangement, the trains will operate via the Gandhidham Cabin–Gopalpur–Bhuj section, with a commercial halt at Gopalpur replacing the existing stoppage at Gandhidham.
The trains covered include the Dadar–Bhuj Express, Bandra Terminus–Bhuj Express services, Bhuj–Pune Express, Bhuj–Shalimar Express, and the Ahmedabad–Bhuj Namo Bharat Rapid Rail.
According to the Railway Board’s order issued on July 15, 2026, the changes will take effect before advance reservation for the revised services begins.
The Railway Board order lists the following seven trains:
- 20907/20908 – Dadar–Bhuj Express
- 22903/22904 – Bandra Terminus–Bhuj Express
- 12965/12966 – Bandra Terminus–Bhuj Express
- 12959/12960 – Bandra Terminus–Bhuj Express
- 11091/11092 – Bhuj–Pune Express
- 22829/22830 – Bhuj–Shalimar Express
