HCL Tech’s Global Technology Center Opens at GIFT City Gujarat

GIFT City: HCL Tech has opened its Global Technology Center at GIFT City today. Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi inaugurated it.

The center has started operations with a team of around 100 employees, the majority of whom are from Gujarat. It also houses a state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence Lab alongside its finance IT operations, which Sanghvi described as a key step towards advancing future technologies in the state.

Speaking at the event, Sanghvi said HCL Tech’s focus on hiring local talent and working with local partners sets it apart from the common industry practice of recruiting manpower from other states. He said the approach would create employment opportunities for Gujarat’s youth and promote self-reliance.

The Deputy Chief Minister also praised the company’s ‘Come Back Home’ initiative, which aims to offer career opportunities in Gujarat to professionals working in cities such as Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad, as well as overseas.
