IAF Personnel Dies of Gunshot Injury While on Duty at Naliya Air Force Station

Kutch: A 27-year-old Indian Air Force personnel died after sustaining a gunshot injury from his service rifle while on duty at the Air Force Station in Naliya on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Corporal Bharatkumar Bhardwaj, a native of Haryana. According to police, the incident took place at around 5 pm inside the station’s parking area.
Officials said on-duty personnel heard gunshots and rushed to the spot, where they found Bhardwaj lying in a pool of blood. Preliminary investigations indicate that three rounds were fired from the service rifle issued to him.
He was taken to a military medical facility but could not be saved.
Police have registered a case of accidental death and launched an investigation to determine the circumstances under which the service weapon was discharged. DeshGujarat
