July 17, 2026
Kutch: A suspected Pakistani boat was found abandoned during a routine patrol by the Border Security Force (BSF) in the Creek area of Kutch on Thursday evening. No suspicious items were recovered from the vessel during the initial inspection, officials said.
The boat was spotted by a BSF patrol team during its regular surveillance in the sensitive Creek region along the India-Pakistan border. After confirming that the vessel was of Pakistani origin, security personnel carried out a detailed search of the boat. However, nothing suspicious was found.
Kutch, which shares an international border with Pakistan and comprises vast stretches of desert, marshland, hills, and a long coastline, is considered a highly sensitive region due to the possibility of infiltration and smuggling attempts. Security agencies maintain constant vigilance in the area.
Following the recovery of the suspected Pakistani boat, security has been further intensified in the maritime border region. BSF and other security agencies are maintaining round-the-clock surveillance and patrolling across the Kutch sector to prevent any untoward incident. DeshGujarat
