Idar Mamlatdar orders land linked to MLA Raman Vora to be vested with government

Sabarkantha: The Mamlatdar of Idar has ordered that a parcel of agricultural land in Davada village be declared Shree Sarkar (vested with the government) in a case involving allegations that BJP MLA Raman Vora and his family purchased the land despite not being eligible as farmers.

According to officials, the case pertains to old Survey No. 792 and re-survey No. 548 in Davada village of Idar taluka. It was alleged that the land was purchased by Raman Vora even though he was not a registered farmer. Following the allegations, an inquiry was conducted by the Idar Mamlatdar’s office.

During the investigation, proceedings were initiated against Raman Vora and his family members, Kusum Vora, Suhag Vora, and Bhushan Vora over the alleged purchase of agricultural land by falsely claiming farmer status.

As per reports, despite being issued multiple notices to appear during the proceedings, the MLA and his family members allegedly remained absent from the hearings. Taking note of the findings of the inquiry and the proceedings, Idar Mamlatdar Pooja Joshi ordered that the land be declared Shree Sarkar.

The order has drawn attention in political and administrative circles in Sabarkantha. However, there was no immediate response from Raman Vora or his family regarding the Mamlatdar’s order. DeshGujarat
