Max Temperatures Remain Above Normal Across Gujarat Despite Monsoon Activity

Ahmedabad: Amid the monsoon activity in Gujarat, a fall was witnessed in the maximum temperature in most cities of the state on Friday; however, it remained above normal in most places. According to the daily weather report of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued this morning, the highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded in Bhuj at 36.5°C.
Ahmedabad and Vadodara recorded a maximum temperature of 35.6°C, which was 1.9°C and 3°C above normal, respectively. The maximum temperature was recorded at 35.5°C in Kandla, 35.2°C in Bhavnagar and Deesa, 34.8°C in Surendranagar, 34.5°C in Gandhinagar and Rajkot, and 34.3°C in Amreli.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 34.4°C in Naliya (Kutch), 33.4°C in Porbandar, 33.3°C in Okha, and 32.4°C in Dwarka. The maximum temperature in Surat and Veraval was 32°C.
The maximum temperature in many cities across the state was 1°C to 3°C above normal, due to which heat and humidity were experienced during the day despite the rainy weather.
Talking about rainfall, during the last 24 hours, 28 mm was recorded in Bhavnagar, 23.2 mm in Daman, 2 mm in Gandhinagar, 1.4 mm in Surat, 0.4 mm in Diu, 0.3 mm in Okha, and 0.2 mm in Ahmedabad. Most other cities did not record any rainfall.
According to the Meteorological Department, rainfall activity is likely to continue in various parts of the state in the coming days, while some areas may experience heat due to high humidity. DeshGujarat
