Which Places in Gujarat May Get Heavy Rain Till July 25? Here’s IMD Forecast

Ahmedabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall across Gujarat over the next seven days, with isolated heavy rain expected in parts of the state till Monday morning and again on July 25.

According to the IMD’s latest weather bulletin, heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places in the South Gujarat districts of Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad and Tapi, as well as the Union Territories of Daman and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, till 8:30 am on Monday (July 20).

From July 20 to July 24, most parts of Gujarat are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall.

The IMD has also forecast another spell of heavy rain on July 25, with isolated heavy showers likely in the districts of Aravalli, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar and Chhota Udepur. The rest of the state is expected to receive light rainfall on the day.

The weather agency attributed the prevailing conditions to multiple synoptic systems, including the monsoon trough extending from Sri Ganganagar to the northwest Bay of Bengal, an upper-air cyclonic circulation over north Jharkhand and adjoining Bihar, and another cyclonic circulation persisting over southwest Madhya Pradesh.
