Ambaji Gabbar Ropeway to Remain Shut for Four Days

Ambaji: The ropeway service to Gabbar Hill at Ambaji, one of the country’s prominent pilgrimage centres and one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, will remain suspended for four days from July 21 to July 24 due to annual maintenance work.

The decision has been taken by Usha Breco Limited, the company operating the ropeway, to carry out its scheduled annual inspection and repair works. During this period, the ropeway will remain completely closed, and devotees visiting Ambaji will not be able to use the service to reach Gabbar Hill.

The maintenance exercise is going to include a detailed inspection of the wire ropes, trolleys, and other technical equipment to ensure the safety and reliability of the ropeway system.

Despite the temporary suspension of the ropeway, devotees will still be able to visit the Gabbar temple and offer prayers by climbing the steps leading to the hill. The pedestrian route will remain open throughout the maintenance period.

The Gabbar ropeway is used daily by thousands of devotees from Gujarat and other parts of the country to reach the hilltop temple. The ropeway service is scheduled to resume normal operations from July 25 after the completion of the maintenance work. DeshGujarat
