SMC Water Supply to Be Disrupted in Parts of Surat on July 23 Due to DGVCL Work

Surat: Residents in several parts of Surat will face disruption in water supply on July 23 as the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has announced a temporary shutdown of the Dindoli Water Distribution Station for planned electrical maintenance by Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL).
According to the civic body, DGVCL will undertake installation and maintenance work on the 11 KV power supply system at the Dindoli Water Distribution Station campus in the South-East Zone (Limbayat). As a result, water supply from the Dindoli Pumping Station will remain suspended or available at very low pressure between 10:30 am and 5:00 pm.
The disruption will affect several residential areas in the Limbayat, Udhna-A and Udhna-B zones.
In the Limbayat Zone, the evening water supply will be affected in areas including Manshi Residency, Modi Estate, Morya Nagar, Yogeshwar Park, Godadara Gamtal, Aasar Nagar, Khodiyar Nagar, Maharana Pratap Society, Priyanka-3 and 4, Neelkanth Nagar, Devi Darshan, Rishi Nagar, Priyanka Megacity, Parvat Gamtal, Umiya Nagar, Purushottam Nagar, Chandralok Society, Bhakti Nagar, Sahajanand, Mahadev Nagar, D.K. Nagar, Ratnaprabha, Kalpana Nagar, Kailash Nagar, Gurunagar, Veerdarshan, Hare Krishna, Vrindavan, Nandanvan, Priyanka City Plus, J.B. Nagar, Lakshmi Park, Sky View Heights, Skylom Heights and Sapphire-8.
In Udhna Zone-A, water supply will be affected in Dundigam, Dipaligam, Prime Point, Gajanand Sankul, Anupam City, Vadod Gam, Awas, Bamroli Gam, Amidhara Society, Umiya Residency, Aastha Residency, Shlok Arcade, Om Complex, Trupti Nagar, Laxmi Nagar, Jai Ambe, Sukhi Nagar, Jaykrishna Nagar, Amrit Nagar, Rameshwar Green, Rameshwar Hills, Balaji Nagar, Maratha Nagar, Shringal Residency, Bhestan Awas, Ummed Nagar and nearby industrial areas.
In Udhna Zone-B, the affected areas include Ungam, Tirupati Nagar, Tirupati Balaji Township, Gabheni Village, Bhindi Bazaar, Budiya Village, Jiav Village, Pardi Kanade, Sachin Station area, Jalaram Nagar, Kansad Village, 28 Gal, Umang Society, Gokuldham, Sachin Halpati Vas, Rabari Vas, Mahavir Society, Shiv Shakti Society, Karuna Park, Vishnu Nagar, Pali, Talangpore and Uber village along with adjoining localities.
The SMC has advised residents of the affected areas to store adequate water in advance and use it judiciously during the maintenance period. The civic body also expressed regret for the inconvenience and sought citizens’ cooperation while the scheduled work is carried out. DeshGujarat
