NDRF Deploys Teams in Surat and Valsad Amid Incessant Rainfall

Surat: With the monsoon situation intensifying across Gujarat, the 6th Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has deployed teams at vulnerable locations in Surat and Valsad districts to strengthen emergency preparedness and ensure a swift response to any rain-related incidents.

According to the NDRF, one team has been stationed in Surat’s Parvat Patiya area following reports of increasing waterlogging. Another team has been deployed at the Surat Municipal Corporation’s South Zone office in Udhana to enhance emergency response and coordinate rescue operations if required.

In Valsad district, an NDRF team has been positioned in flood-prone and low-lying areas, including Hanuman Bagda, Darudiya Ward, Tariya Ward and nearby localities, where it is closely monitoring the situation and remains prepared for any flooding or waterlogging-related emergency.

The deployed teams are fully equipped and are working in close coordination with the district administration and other agencies to respond quickly to any emergency and ensure public safety during the ongoing monsoon season. DeshGujarat
