Navsari administration issues flood alert as Purna river nears danger mark

Navsari: The Navsari district administration has urged residents of villages along the Purna river to remain alert as the river is flowing close to the danger mark.
With the Juj Dam overflowing and the Keliya Dam likely to overflow, people living in affected villages and riverbank areas have been advised not to go near the river and to follow instructions issued by the local administration, including evacuation orders if required.
It’s worth noting that Khergam taluka in Navsari district had over 14 inches rainfall in 24 hours ending 6 am today. Other talukas of the district have also witnessed heavy to very heavy rainfall during and beyond this period. DeshGujarat
