MS University Vadodara to Remain Shut on July 25; Exams Postponed Amid Heavy Rain Alert

Vadodara: In view of the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) red alert for heavy rainfall in Gujarat, the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda has announced the suspension of all academic and allied activities across its campuses on Saturday, July 25, 2026, as a precautionary measure.

According to an official notification issued by the university, all activities, including academic, administrative, examination and other university-related work, will remain suspended in all buildings, offices and campuses to ensure the safety of students, faculty and staff. The university had similarly suspended all operations on July 24 following the IMD’s forecast of heavy rainfall in Vadodara district.

The university also said that any examinations or other scheduled activities planned for July 25 have been cancelled. Fresh dates for the postponed examinations and other events will be announced later by the respective competent authorities.

The notification has been circulated to all deans, college principals, directors, department heads, wardens, librarians, section heads and other university officials, directing them to inform all concerned and ensure compliance with the order. DeshGujarat
