Widespread Rain in Gujarat on Friday Morning; Taluka-wise Rainfall Data Here

Ahmedabad: Rainy conditions continued across Gujarat on Friday morning, with heavy showers reported in many parts of the state during the six-hour period from 6 am to 12 noon. According to data from the State Emergency Operation Center (SEOC), the heaviest rainfall shifted to North Gujarat and Central Gujarat, while rain activity eased considerably in South Gujarat. Districts such as Surat, Navsari and Valsad received much lighter rainfall, with no taluka recording more than 1.5 inches of rain during the period.

During this period, Deodar taluka of Vav-Tharad district recorded the highest rainfall in the state at 6.73 inches. It was followed by Bhabhar with 6.50 inches, Radhanpur in Patan with 5.24 inches, Mehmadabad in Kheda with 5.16 inches, Santalpur in Patan with 4.92 inches, Dhansura in Aravalli with 4.06 inches, Ogad in Banaskantha with 3.94 inches, Virpur in Mahisagar with 3.90 inches, Dehgam in Gandhinagar with 3.74 inches and Liliya in Amreli with 3.66 inches, making them the top 10 rain-hit talukas in the state during the six-hour period.

Apart from these, Lunawada in Mahisagar received 3.31 inches of rainfall, followed by Suigam in Vav-Tharad (2.99 inches), Amreli (2.91 inches), Hadad in Banaskantha (2.80 inches), Shehera in Panchmahal (2.80 inches), Kheralu in Mehsana (2.76 inches), Sathamba in Aravalli (2.76 inches), Balasinor in Mahisagar (2.68 inches), Kunkawav-Vadia in Amreli (2.56 inches), Nadiad in Kheda (2.52 inches) and Jamkandorana in Rajkot (2.48 inches).

In Ahmedabad district, Dholka recorded the highest rainfall at 2.32 inches, followed by Bavla with 1.69 inches, Detroj-Rampura with 1.10 inches, Ahmedabad city with 1.06 inches, Daskroi with 0.63 inches, Sanand with 0.55 inches, Dhandhuka with 0.43 inches, Dholera with 0.20 inches and Viramgam with 0.12 inches.
