Bagodara – Dhandhuka Highway Remains Closed as Rainwater Inundates Stretch
July 28, 2026
Ahmedabad: The Dhandhuka Division Police on Tuesday issued a public update on the rain situation, stating that conditions remain under control in most areas despite recent heavy rainfall.
According to the police, there is no waterlogging in any village under the Dhandhuka police station limits, and traffic is moving normally on all major and internal roads. No hazardous situation has been reported in the area so far.
However, several villages under the Bagodara police station limits continue to remain waterlogged, though the water level is gradually receding. Police said there is currently no need for rescue operations in any village. In the affected villages, however, internal roads remain submerged, and movement is possible only by tractors.
Authorities also said no dangerous situation has been reported in any village under the Bagodara police station area at present.
Meanwhile, the Bagodara-Dhandhuka highway has been closed to vehicular traffic due to waterlogging.
In a separate development, a drain near Pipli village on the Dholera-Pipli-Vataman old highway breached on Tuesday night, forcing authorities to barricade the road from both sides as a precautionary measure.
The police have advised motorists travelling from Pipli towards Surat and from Vataman towards Pipli to use the Dholera-Ahmedabad Expressway as an alternate route. They said the diversion has been communicated to the public through social media and other awareness channels. DeshGujarat
