Gujarat Govt Announces Financial Relief Package for Ahmedabad Traders Hit by Heavy Rains

Gandhinagar: Keeping in view the losses suffered by traders in Ahmedabad due to the recent heavy rains, the Gujarat government on Tuesday announced a special financial assistance package during the state Cabinet meeting. On the lines of the relief package implemented in Surat, financial assistance will be provided to small and large traders, shopkeepers, and street vendors in Ahmedabad.

According to the Cabinet decision, the assistance process will be carried out in a transparent manner. The local administration will conduct on-ground surveys, supported by photographs and videography, to assess the extent of the damage. Financial assistance will be disbursed to eligible beneficiaries after the survey is completed.

The state government said the package aims to provide immediate financial relief to rain-affected traders and help revive business activity at the earliest, enabling livelihoods and the local economy to recover quickly. DeshGujarat
