Gujarat’s Kandla Port, Vadinar Oil Terminal Set New 24-Hour Cargo Handling Records

Kandla: Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), which operates Kandla Port in the state, on Monday announced that it has set a new national record for the highest single-day cargo handling after processing 7,83,816 metric tonnes (MT) of cargo in 24 hours on July 26, 2026.

According to the DPA, the feat surpassed its previous record of 7,78,570 MT, achieved on June 17, 2026.

Additionally, the Offshore Oil Terminal at Vadinar also created a new 24-hour record by handling 5,09,101 MT of liquid cargo, exceeding its earlier high of 5,07,397 MT. The cargo handled included 2,55,557 MT of crude oil, 40,534 MT of petroleum, oil and lubricants (POL), and 2,13,010 MT of LPO. DeshGujarat
