Where Did It Rain in Gujarat on Friday Morning? Taluka-wise Rainfall Data Here

Gandhinagar: Heavy rain lashed several parts of the state on Friday morning amid the weather department’s forecast of heavy rainfall. According to data from the State Emergency Operation Center (SEOC), the highest rainfall of 203 mm (7.99 inches) was recorded in Umarpada taluka of Surat district between 6 am and 12 noon.

Kheda and Anand districts also topped the list in terms of heavy rainfall. Vaso in Kheda district received 162 mm (6.38 inches) of rainfall, while Nadiad received 151 mm (5.94 inches). Borsad in Anand district received 159 mm (6.26 inches), Khambhat received 147 mm (5.79 inches), and Anand and Petlad received 142 mm (5.59 inches) each.

Narmada district also witnessed heavy rainfall. Sagbara and Garudeshwar received 144 mm (5.67 inches) of rainfall each, while Tilakwada received 118 mm (4.65 inches), Nandod 117 mm (4.61 inches), and Dediapada 110 mm (4.33 inches).

Netrang in Bharuch district received 115 mm (4.53 inches) of rainfall. Areth in Surat district received 102 mm (4.02 inches), Bardoli 95 mm (3.74 inches), Palsana 93 mm (3.66 inches), and Mangrol 84 mm (3.31 inches).

In Tapi district, Songadh received 96 mm (3.78 inches), Ukai 93 mm (3.66 inches), and Vyara 68 mm (2.68 inches) of rainfall. Navsari city received 91 mm (3.58 inches).

In addition, Mahudha in Kheda district received 105 mm (4.13 inches), Bharuch 70 mm (2.76 inches), Ankleshwar 73 mm (2.87 inches), Vadodara 50 mm (1.97 inches), and Surat city 49 mm (1.93 inches) of rainfall.

According to SEOC data, rainfall was recorded in 115 talukas across the state between 6 am and 12 noon, with the highest impact seen in South Gujarat and Central Gujarat.
