Ahmedabad Schools, Colleges to Again Remain Shut on Aug 1 Due to Heavy Rain Alert

Ahmedabad: In view of the heavy rainfall warning issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the Ahmedabad district administration has declared a holiday for all schools and colleges on August 1. Like other districts such as Surat and Vadodara, Ahmedabad will also observe a holiday in schools for the second consecutive day, as all educational institutions remained shut today as well.

The decision was taken by Ahmedabad District Collector Bhavya Verma as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and staff amid the forecast of heavy rainfall.

All government, grant-in-aid, and private schools and colleges in Ahmedabad city and district will remain closed on Friday (August 1). DeshGujarat
