SMC Opens Registrations for 12th Sanjeev Kumar Drama Competition in Surat

Surat: The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has invited entries for the 12th Sanjeev Kumar Drama Competition, which will be held this year at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium in Katargam.

Drama groups and theatre institutions from Surat city are eligible to participate in the competition. Entry forms are available at the Cultural Department of the Surat Municipal Corporation, Room No. 26, Shri Tapi Bhavan, Gordhandas Chokhawala Marg, Tapipura, during office hours.

Participants can also download the entry form, competition rules and other details from the SMC website.

Organisations wishing to participate must submit the duly filled entry form along with a demand draft of ₹3,000 as a security deposit and a computerised hard copy of the play script to the Cultural Department by 4 pm on Friday, August 14, 2026.

The civic body has stated that entry forms with incomplete details will be rejected. DeshGujarat
