AMC Water Supply to Be Disrupted in Parts of Ahmedabad on Aug 11
August 08, 2026
Ahmedabad: Water supply in parts of western Ahmedabad is expected to be affected on Tuesday, August 11, due to a scheduled power shutdown at a major water treatment plant.
The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) said the 400 MLD Jaspur Water Treatment Plant will remain non-operational for eight hours on Monday, from 8 am to 4 pm, as the power utility carries out pre-monsoon maintenance work at the Jaspur 66 kV substation.
With the plant shut, Tuesday’s water distribution will rely on the water available in existing reservoirs. Residents in several areas of the West, North West, and South West zones may face low water pressure or supply cuts.
AMC has advised residents in the affected localities to store adequate water in advance and use it judiciously. Normal water supply is expected to be restored on Wednesday. DeshGujarat
