Surat Woman, Son Booked in ₹3.17-Crore Land Fraud Case

Rajkot: Rajkot Taluka police have registered a case against a Surat-based woman, her son and unidentified accomplices for allegedly forging documents related to a ₹3.17-crore plot, using the fabricated papers in court and attempting to sell portions of the property.

The FIR was filed on Friday based on a complaint by 42-year-old lawyer Pintu Pansara. According to the complaint, Pansara and his business partner had purchased a 2,915-square-metre non-agricultural plot in Sayan village of Olpad taluka, Surat, through a registered sale deed in 2018 for around ₹3.17 crore.

Pansara alleged that the accused somehow obtained the original sale deed from his office and later conspired to prepare a fake agreement showing a purported transaction involving the property. The document allegedly carried forged signatures of Pansara and other parties.

The complainant said he found out about the alleged fraud in May 2025, after receiving a call from a woman regarding the plot and its documents.

According to the FIR, the accused subsequently prepared a layout on the property, divided the land into smaller plots and allegedly attempted to sell them using the fabricated documents. DeshGujarat
